Sarah is seasoned communications professional who has worked in many different industries and roles during a career spanning more than three decades. Her first ‘proper’ job was as a reporter for a local newspaper in London, from where she progressed to IPC Magazines (now TI Media). After several years as a journalist and editor for monthly home interest titles, Sarah decided to apply her skills to the world of PR and marketing communications.
Since then, she has worked for PR, marketing and creative agencies as an Account Manager and Director with clients in construction, retail, manufacturing and technology. She has also held in-house posts at private, not for profit and public sector organisations including Essex Police, Hertfordshire County Council, Caring Homes, CHP (housing association), Outlook Care, Tyresafe and St Helena Hospice.
Keen to return to the charity sector, Sarah is looking forward to using her experience to the benefit of The Utley Foundation. Her varied skillset encompasses strategic planning and brand management as well as tactical execution of PR, social media, events, and written material.
