Campaigning philanthropy - more than cheques.

The Utley Foundation was established in 2014 with an endowment of £25million.

So far we have invested more than £10million in grants and ground-breaking projects such as the Music for Dementia campaign and m4dradio. We have also leveraged at least another £3.5million from other sources,  placing us at the forefront of shared investment approaches to delivering social change.

From the beginning our trustees have invested actively so they can advance charitable causes close their hearts while safeguarding the endowment. In this way the Utley Foundation is changing lives now and will continue to do so for generations to come.

Our Work: Music for Dementia

10 years ago, families often had to discover by accident that music can help those living with dementia. Worse still, many didn’t discover it at all, until it was too late.

Today 80% of family carers in the UK  use music as part of their care*. A truly inspiring change.

Our campaigning philanthropy approach has helped strengthen the music for dementia movement through grant-making, policy development, awareness raising, and delivering direct projects such as award-winning m4dRADIO.com
