Having spent 10 years in banking, followed by a further 20 years in insurance, running, owning and buying and selling businesses, Neil decided to set up the Utley Family Charitable Trust, alongside his wife, Nicky, joined by Raja Balasuriya and Melvyn Sims.
Neil has many interests including music and his ever-growing classic car collection, amongst many other things. To go alongside Neil’s music interest, he set up a business, NUA Entertainment, formerly Nusic Sounds. The business was set up in 2010, chaired by Grammy nominated, Paul Hardcastle.
Paul Hardcastle has also had a significant project with The Utley Foundation, raising money for Talking2Minds, with his re-release of top selling single “19”. All of the money raised from the purchased tracks was sent directly to Talking2Minds and The Utley Foundation also donated £10,000 to the fantastic cause.
The music interest of Neil’s has been even more significant with the Power of Music and Dementia project that is being run by The Utley Foundation. There will be significant research carried out on this project this year in the hope of having an amazing outcome.
